Dealing with the emotional needs of elderly individuals, especially those who may be lonely, facing health issues, or experiencing grief, can be emotionally stressful. Volunteers should be prepared for emotional conversations and should have access to support or debriefing sessions. One of the common stressful situations is anger outbursts.
